| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The untimely death of Lisa Rachelle Freeman Anderson |

| 6 | 7 | | of San Marcos on February 25, 2017, at the age of 51, brought a great |

| 7 | 8 | | loss to her family and friends; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Jimmie Yancy Freeman and Edith Mae |

| 9 | 10 | | Adams Freeman, the former Lisa Freeman was born on March 11, 1965, |

| 10 | 11 | | in Anchorage, Alaska, where her father was serving in the U.S. Air |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Force; she met her future husband, Brete Anderson, while completing |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | her bachelor's degree in sociology at Southwest Texas State |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | University; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The Andersons became the proud parents of a |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | daughter, Evalyn Rachelle Anderson, and Ms. Anderson found her true |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | passion in raising her; she helped nurture her talents and took |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | enormous delight in every one of her accomplishments, as she also |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | did in encouraging her family members in their interests and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | pastimes; all the happy times they spent together, from listening |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | to music to relaxing at the beach or along the San Marcos River, |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | filled her with joy; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Through the years, Ms. Anderson was a tremendous |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | source of wisdom and support to her husband in his work for the |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | Texas Legislature; even during her illness, she urged him to |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | dedicate as much time as he could to his important endeavors in |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | behalf of their fellow citizens; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Lisa Anderson immeasurably enriched the lives of all |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | who were fortunate enough to know her, and those she has left behind |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | will forever treasure their memories of her quirky sense of humor, |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | her kindness, and her boundless devotion to her family; now, |

| 31 | 32 | | therefore, be it |

| 32 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 33 | 34 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lisa Anderson and |
