R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Hannah Hirst of Katy has been accepted into the
United States Military Academy at West Point; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Dan and Tiffany Hirst, Hannah Hirst
is a graduating senior at Faith West Academy in Katy, where she is
an honor student and a member of the National Honor Society; also an
accomplished athlete, she was named to the girls' soccer Academic
All-State Team for the 2016-2017 season; and
WHEREAS, While at West Point, this outstanding young Texan
plans to pursue a degree in law, and after graduation, she hopes to
continue her education by attending law school; and
WHEREAS, With her admission to the Military Academy at West
Point, Hannah Hirst may look forward to myriad exciting challenges
and opportunities, and she is indeed deserving of recognition for
her exemplary achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Hannah Hirst on her acceptance to
the United States Military Academy at West Point and extend to her
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Hirst as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
