56 WHEREAS, Tamira Jackson is graduating as the valedictorian of
67 the senior class of Roy Miller High School in 2017; and
78 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
89 intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the
910 highest academic standards; Ms. Jackson has demonstrated a thorough
1011 understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of
1112 this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable
1213 high school career; and
1314 WHEREAS, The daughter of Candy Jackson and Timothy Sampson,
1415 Ms. Jackson plans to continue her education at Texas A&M
1516 University--Corpus Christi, studying biology; and
1617 WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Tamira Jackson has
1718 earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates,
1819 and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment
1920 to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for
2021 this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
2122 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2223 Legislature hereby congratulate Tamira Jackson, valedictorian of
2324 the Class of 2017 at Roy Miller High School, and extend to her
2425 sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next
2526 exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for Ms. Jackson as an expression of high regard by the
2829 Texas House of Representatives.
