| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Manuel Saenz and Manuela Garcia |

| 9 | 10 | | Saenz, Martha Gonzalez was born on May 21, 1943, in Falfurrias and |

| 10 | 11 | | grew up in the company of her four siblings, Oscar, Johnny, Mary, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | and Mirta; she went on to enjoy a successful career with the Rio |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Grande Independent School District and retired after three decades |

| 13 | 14 | | as a kindergarten teacher; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Gonzalez shared a rewarding marriage with her |

| 15 | 16 | | husband, Hector Gonzalez; she was the proud mother of two children, |

| 16 | 17 | | Hector and Celina, and with the passing years, she was blessed with |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | five grandchildren, Amanda, Andrea, Angela, Michael, and Marcus; |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her faith, her family, and her |

| 20 | 21 | | students, Martha Gonzalez brightened the world for all who knew |
