| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Corinn Price was recognized with the 2016 Chairman's |

| 6 | 7 | | Award by the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce at the group's |

| 7 | 8 | | Annual Awards Extravaganza on January 20, 2017; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Chairman's Award is presented by the current |

| 9 | 10 | | chair of the board to an individual who has distinguished herself |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | through outstanding chamber volunteerism; Ms. Price is a valued |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | member of the chamber's executive board; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, For the past 17 years, Ms. Price has served as |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | director of community involvement at Insperity, where she has |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | greatly expanded the corporate philanthropy department and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | instituted a number of volunteer programs; before taking on her |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | present role, she worked in administrative positions at nonprofit |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | organizations in both New York and Texas, and she owned and operated |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | a small business for several years; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Price has personally devoted countless hours of |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | service to the community; a member of the board of directors for the |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Humble ISD Education Foundation since 2003, she chaired the board |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | for three years, during which time the foundation raised one |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | million dollars in one year for the first time in its history; she |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | has held membership on the boards of such nonprofit organizations |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | as the Village Learning and Achievement Center and the Lake Houston |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | YMCA, and she has further shared her insight on the committees of |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | Leadership Lake Houston and the Lake Houston Area Economic |

| 28 | 29 | | Development Partnership; and |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Corinn Price has earned the admiration of her peers |

| 30 | 31 | | for the passion and expertise that she brings to her professional |

| 31 | 32 | | and volunteer endeavors, and she is indeed worthy of recognition |

| 32 | 33 | | for her exemplary efforts to serve the greater good; now, |
