| 8 | 9 | | Conference, held in Orlando, Florida, May 10-14; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Business Professionals of America seeks to prepare |

| 10 | 11 | | students for future careers in business management, office |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | administration, information technology, and other related fields |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | through the development of leadership, citizenship, academic, and |

| 13 | 14 | | technological skills; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, After excelling at the state finals, Ms. Olivas |

| 15 | 16 | | advanced to the National Leadership Conference, where she was one |

| 16 | 17 | | of only four students to represent Texas in the prepared speech |

| 17 | 18 | | event; there, she impressed judges with her address regarding |

| 18 | 19 | | entrepreneurship in the food truck industry and secured a |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Through her involvement in the BPA National |

| 21 | 22 | | Leadership Conference, this admirable young Texan is building a |
