55 R E S O L U T I O N
66 WHEREAS, The faculty, staff, and administrators of the
77 Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District may take great pride
88 in their continued ranking by the website Niche.com as one of the
99 top school districts in the Houston area; and
1010 WHEREAS, Drawing on publicly available data and on parent and
1111 student reviews, Niche.com evaluates the school districts of major
1212 metropolitan areas across the nation; the site bases its rankings
1313 on a wide range of factors to provide a fully rounded assessment of
1414 a district's strength and vitality; and
1515 WHEREAS, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is the third-largest school
1616 district in the state, with a current enrollment of nearly 114,000
1717 students; led by superintendent Dr. Mark Henry, the district has
1818 received an A+ rating from Niche.com in student culture and
1919 diversity, as well as high scores in academics, teacher quality,
2020 sports and fitness, and extracurricular activities; and
2121 WHEREAS, Through their unwavering commitment to the students
2222 of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, the district's faculty, staff, and
2323 administrators have played an essential role in preparing many
2424 young Texans for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead,
2525 and they may take great pride in this prestigious recognition of
2626 their efforts; now, therefore, be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2828 Legislature hereby congratulate the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent
2929 School District on being ranked one of the top school districts in
3030 the Houston metro area by Niche.com and extend to everyone involved
3131 with the district sincere best wishes for continued success; and,
3232 be it further
3333 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3434 prepared for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD as an expression of high regard
3535 by the Texas House of Representatives.
