H.R. No. 2713
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mariadela Villegas has ably served her fellow Texans
as a policy analyst in the office of State Representative Tomas
Uresti during the 85th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Villegas has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
including conducting bill-related research and contributing to
drafts for a range of bill topics; in addition to gaining valuable
experience in the field of public service, she has learned more
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the
Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Villegas is a senior at The University of Texas
at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in government
while minoring in Spanish and Arabic; a native of Mexico, she became
a United States resident in 2014, and she aspires to a career in
immigration law and hopes to one day serve in the Texas Legislature;
and
WHEREAS, Mariadela Villegas has performed her duties as a
policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Mariadela Villegas for her service as a
policy analyst in the office of State Representative Tomas Uresti
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Villegas as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
