| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Kristen Elizabeth Flores has ably served her fellow |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Flores has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |

| 11 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; she previously |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | served the Texas House of Representatives in the office of the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | sergeant-at-arms; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Flores, |

| 16 | 17 | | Ms. Flores is a native Austinite; she graduated from Hutto High |

| 17 | 18 | | School and went on to attend Austin Community College, where she |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | studied special education; she is an active congregant of Emmanuel |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | United Methodist Church and enjoys volunteering with children and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | youth groups; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 24 | 25 | | therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Kristen Elizabeth Flores for her service |
