H.R. No. 285
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Melvin and Ruby Wegwerth of Robinson celebrated
their 65th wedding anniversary on January 20, 2017, and they may
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
shared; and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1952, Mr. and Mrs. Wegwerth
exchanged the vows of matrimony at Trinity Lutheran Church in
Riesel, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in
each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Wegwerth count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their two sons, Rick Wegwerth and his
wife, Arlene, and Randy Wegwerth and his wife, Imelda, as well as
their three granddaughters, Casidy, Emory, and Summer; and
WHEREAS, For six and a half decades, Melvin and Ruby Wegwerth
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion,
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Melvin and Ruby Wegwerth on their
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
