| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Texas Aggregates and Concrete Association was |

| 9 | 10 | | created in 1974 when the Texas Ready Mixed Concrete Association and |

| 10 | 11 | | the Texas Aggregates Association merged; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, In the years since, TACA has grown to represent more |

| 12 | 13 | | than 200 member companies throughout Texas, including the great |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | majority of the state's concrete businesses, cement companies, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | aggregates firms; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Aggregates, concrete, cement, and related |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | industries generate billions of dollars in business and employ |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | thousands of Texans, thereby helping to promote economic |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | development and prosperity, and representatives of these vital |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | commercial enterprises merit special recognition and praise for |

| 20 | 21 | | their immeasurable contributions to the Lone Star State; now, |
