| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists |

| 6 | 7 | | are gathering in Austin on February 28, 2017, to commemorate Texas |

| 7 | 8 | | Anesthesiologists Day at the State Capitol; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A component of the American Society of |

| 9 | 10 | | Anesthesiologists, the Texas organization was founded in 1936; it |

| 10 | 11 | | works to promote and support the medical specialty of |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | anesthesiology, and its 3,300 members throughout the state benefit |

| 12 | 13 | | greatly from its continuing education programs and annual meetings; |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Through a network of committees, the TSA allows |

| 15 | 16 | | members to participate in and make recommendations on numerous |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | issues that are relevant to the profession, including scientific, |

| 17 | 18 | | administrative, and educational concerns; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Always emphasizing patient safety and care, the |

| 19 | 20 | | Texas Society of Anesthesiologists makes invaluable contributions |

| 20 | 21 | | to the health and well-being of Texans, and it indeed merits special |

| 21 | 22 | | recognition and praise; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature hereby recognize February 28, 2017, as Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | women of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists for their important |
