| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 7 | | by a great and enduring love, Dale and Joyce Sanders celebrated |

| 7 | 8 | | their 60th wedding anniversary on November 21, 2016; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Dale Sanders and the former Joyce Thedford began |

| 9 | 10 | | dating in junior high and continued their relationship as students |

| 10 | 11 | | at Waco High School; following their graduation, they were united |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | in matrimony by the Reverend A. C. Lane at Faith Tabernacle Church |

| 12 | 13 | | in Waco in 1956; over the years, their family has grown to include |

| 13 | 14 | | their two children, Steve and his wife, Lisa, and Terri and her |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | husband, Will, as well as their six grandchildren, Jared, Lacey, |

| 15 | 16 | | Jordan, Katherine, Kristina, and Marian, and five |

| 16 | 17 | | great-grandchildren, HeidiGrace, Collins, Elly, Harper, and Jordy; |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Valued members of their community, Mr. Sanders |

| 19 | 20 | | worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 37 years |

| 20 | 21 | | before retiring as an equipment supervisor, and Mrs. Sanders |

| 21 | 22 | | retired as a financial secretary at Emmanuel Baptist Church after |

| 22 | 23 | | more than two decades of service; sustained by a deep faith, they |

| 23 | 24 | | are active in their church, and in their leisure hours, they enjoy |

| 24 | 25 | | ranching and spending quality time with their family; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |

| 26 | 27 | | decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |

| 29 | 30 | | and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
