| 10 | 11 | | 2013, the Eagles claimed the ultimate prize for the first time in |

| 11 | 12 | | the school's history, and in so doing, ended the year with a perfect |

| 12 | 13 | | 16-0 record; along the way, they dominated their regular season |

| 13 | 14 | | opponents, winning by an average of 30 points per game, and they |

| 14 | 15 | | went on to excel in postseason battles against Killeen, Carroll, |

| 15 | 16 | | Abilene, Cedar Hill, and Klein Collins High Schools to earn their |

| 16 | 17 | | spot in the championship game; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Facing off against Cibolo Steele High School with |

| 18 | 19 | | the title on the line, DeSoto took command early in the first half |

| 19 | 20 | | and maintained the lead throughout the game; the team's victory was |

| 20 | 21 | | only briefly threatened in the fourth quarter, when Steele closed |

| 21 | 22 | | the gap to six points, but the Eagles responded by forcing a |

| 22 | 23 | | turnover and adding a field goal in the closing minutes to secure |
