| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Gloria Thomas retired from the Doris Miller |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A native of Waco, Ms. Thomas graduated with honors |

| 9 | 10 | | from Carver High School in 1969 and went on to earn a degree in |

| 10 | 11 | | nursing from Texas Woman's University; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure with the medical center, |

| 12 | 13 | | Gloria Thomas provided her patients with the highest level of care, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | service, and compassion, and her consummate leadership earned her |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | the deep respect and admiration of her peers; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Gloria Thomas has greatly benefited generations of |

| 16 | 17 | | veterans across Central Texas through her dedication and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | professionalism, and she may indeed reflect with pride on a career |

| 18 | 19 | | well spent as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her life; |
