| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Lubbock has greatly benefited from the committed |

| 6 | 7 | | leadership of the Honorable Glen Robertson, who served two terms as |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, First elected on May 12, 2012, Mayor Robertson |

| 9 | 10 | | dedicated himself to promoting Lubbock as a business-friendly |

| 10 | 11 | | community, working to strengthen relationships between the city and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | companies and industries both within the region and throughout the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | United States; his efforts were rewarded with steady job creation |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | and economic growth in the area; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mayor Robertson made the improvement of the city's |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | utilities and infrastructure one of his priorities, and he |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | staunchly supported the decision by Lubbock Power & Light to seek |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | membership in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas; he also |

| 18 | 19 | | strongly advocated for the realization of the Texas Loop 88 project |

| 19 | 20 | | in order to continue meeting the city's growing traffic needs; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |

| 21 | 22 | | life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |

| 22 | 23 | | of Glen Robertson have helped to make Lubbock an even better place |

| 23 | 24 | | in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend the Honorable Glen Robertson for his |

| 26 | 27 | | exemplary public service and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
