| 10 | 11 | | demonstrated excellence in specific areas of achievement; since its |

| 11 | 12 | | inception in 1988, hundreds of young men and women have been |

| 12 | 13 | | selected for this prestigious honor, and each of the 2016 winners |

| 13 | 14 | | received a $1,000 scholarship to help fund their college studies; |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The son of Glenda Huerta and Ruben Olvera and the |

| 16 | 17 | | stepson of Roberto Huerta, A. J. Olvera is a senior at Calallen |

| 17 | 18 | | Charter High School, where he is ranked first in his class of 25 |

| 18 | 19 | | students and maintains a 5.5 grade point average; in addition to |

| 19 | 20 | | earning high marks, he has also served as president of the National |

| 20 | 21 | | Honor Society and volunteered with the Rotary Interact Club for |

| 21 | 22 | | youth; after graduation, he plans to study astrophysics; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has pursued his goals |

| 23 | 24 | | with tremendous dedication, and he may take great pride in all that |

| 24 | 25 | | he has accomplished as he looks ahead to a future bright with |
