| 10 | 11 | | Awards honor young people in middle school and high school who |

| 11 | 12 | | demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to serving their |

| 12 | 13 | | communities; this year, more than 31,000 teens from across the |

| 13 | 14 | | nation were considered for recognition; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A seventh grader at Corinth Classical Academy, Micah |

| 15 | 16 | | was born with a physical anomaly that required two surgeries on his |

| 16 | 17 | | left hand, and he received free, expert care from the Texas Scottish |

| 17 | 18 | | Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas; in gratitude for the |

| 18 | 19 | | treatment, he has conducted an annual holiday toy drive for the |

| 19 | 20 | | hospital's patients for the past five years; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Each holiday season, Micah, his family, and student |

| 21 | 22 | | volunteers solicit donations door-to-door and place collection |

| 22 | 23 | | boxes at local businesses and other locations, gathering items to |

| 23 | 24 | | be delivered to the hospital a few days before Christmas; so far, he |

| 24 | 25 | | has distributed more than 15,000 toys and games to grateful young |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Micah Pinson has set an inspiring example of |

| 29 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
