| 11 | 12 | | Apollo Program at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Clear Lake, |

| 12 | 13 | | as well as the advanced research undertaken by public universities |

| 13 | 14 | | and the disruptive start-up culture that has taken hold in Austin, |

| 14 | 15 | | San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and other locations; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The technology industry encompasses more than |

| 16 | 17 | | 35,000 businesses across Texas, from cutting-edge entrepreneurs to |

| 17 | 18 | | established industry leaders; the sector employs more than 600,000 |

| 18 | 19 | | people, representing the second-largest workforce of its kind in |
