| 13 | 14 | | on the vault, which at the time secured him sixth place in the |

| 14 | 15 | | overall NCAA season rankings for individual vault scores; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Beltran also attained success this year at the |

| 16 | 17 | | 2017 Navy Open in January, where he tied for second place in the |

| 17 | 18 | | parallel bars event with a score of 13.70, and he claimed seventh |

| 18 | 19 | | place for his season-best 13.60 performance on the rings at the |

| 19 | 20 | | All-Academy Championships on February 11, in San Antonio; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Lucas Beltran has demonstrated the physical skill |

| 21 | 22 | | and mental fortitude necessary to contend with the top athletes in |

| 22 | 23 | | his sport while also maintaining the Naval Academy's rigorous |

| 23 | 24 | | academic standards, and he may indeed take great pride in his |
