| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Page |

| 6 | 7 | | Leslie Skerry of Austin, who passed away on February 27, 2017, at |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Page and Grace Skerry, Page Skerry was |

| 9 | 10 | | born in New York City in 1931 and grew up with the companionship of a |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | sister, Sherin-Lee; he answered his nation's call to duty during |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Navy, and he was awarded the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | National Defense Service Medal before receiving his honorable |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | discharge at the rank of petty officer second class in 1954; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, After returning to civilian life, Mr. Skerry |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | enjoyed a career that spanned nearly four and a half decades at |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Chemical Bank, where he eventually became vice president; along the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | way, he graduated with a bachelor's degree from St. John's |
|---|

|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Skerry generously volunteered his time and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | energies in behalf of his community, serving as a lifetime member of |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | the Knights of Columbus, as the longest-tenured president of Travis |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | County Water Control and Improvement District No. 20, and as |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | treasurer of the Rob Roy on The Creek Homeowners Association and Boy |

| 24 | 25 | | Scouts of America Troop No. 990; in his leisure hours, he was an |

| 25 | 26 | | avid football fan who never missed an opportunity to cheer on his |

| 26 | 27 | | favorite team, the New York Giants; and |

| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Skerry enjoyed the love |

| 28 | 29 | | and support of his wife, Joan, with whom he shared a quarter century |

| 29 | 30 | | of marriage; he was further blessed with three sons, Bradley |

| 30 | 31 | | Skerry, Timothy Skerry, and Christopher DeChillo and his wife, |

| 32 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Page Skerry lived a life that was rich in personal |
