| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of William |

| 6 | 7 | | Talbot Henard of Wellington, who died on January 23, 2017, at the |

| 7 | 8 | | age of 62; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Billy Henard was born in Wellington on July 11, |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | 1954, to Samuel Edward and Willie Faye Talbot Henard, and he grew up |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | with a sister, Gail, and a brother, Jim; after graduating from |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Wellington High School in 1972, he attended the University of Tulsa |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | on a football scholarship and went on to study at Texas Tech |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | University; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Married in 1982, Mr. Henard and his wife, Debbie, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | shared many happy years together, until his death just six days |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | short of their 35th wedding anniversary; he was the proud father of |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | three daughters, Sharon, Kimi, and Robin, and he later welcomed |

| 18 | 19 | | into his family two sons-in-law, Joel and Jared, as well as six |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | grandchildren, Kenny, Brooke, Walker, Maci, Coyt, and Colt; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Henard enjoyed a career as a rancher and cattle |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Livestock Commission, for many years; in his leisure time, he |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | enjoyed spending time reading, hunting, fishing, and relaxing with |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | his family at the boathouse; he was a valued congregant of First |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | United Methodist Church, and he was also a member of the Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Cattle Feeders Association, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Raisers Association, and the VFW Auxiliary; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Billy Henard lived a rich and purposeful life, and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | although he will be deeply missed, those who were privileged to |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | share in his love and affection will forever hold him close in their |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of William Talbot |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Henard and extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | friends; and, be it further |

| 37 | 37 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

| 38 | 38 | | prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |

| 39 | 39 | | Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Billy |
