| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Davis is a graduate of Longview High School and |

| 9 | 10 | | a former member of the Texas Rangers baseball team; though he now |

| 10 | 11 | | lives in Maryland, where he plays for the Baltimore Orioles, his |

| 11 | 12 | | strong connection to his hometown led him to present the Miracle |

| 12 | 13 | | League of East Texas with a $50,000 check; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding group seeks to provide children who |

| 14 | 15 | | have mental or physical disabilities with the opportunity to play |

| 15 | 16 | | baseball in an accessible and safe space; the money given by |
