| 7 | 8 | | Elizabeth Castaneda Pope on December 3, 2016, at the age of 52; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Midland to Alejandro and Maria Antonia |

| 9 | 10 | | Castaneda, the former Liz Castaneda attended school in the |

| 10 | 11 | | Iraan-Sheffield Independent School District; she went on to share a |

| 11 | 12 | | loving relationship with her husband, Victor Pope, and was deeply |

| 12 | 13 | | devoted to her two children, Quincy and Victoria, and three |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | grandchildren, Avey, Amya, and Xander; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Vivacious and full of energy, Ms. Pope remained a |

| 15 | 16 | | loyal and active supporter of her alma mater; in addition to serving |

| 16 | 17 | | as an educator, she found great joy and fulfillment in her work as |

| 17 | 18 | | booster club president and as a sponsor of the Iraan Bravettes |

| 18 | 19 | | cheerleading team, and her passion for volunteering also led her to |

| 19 | 20 | | become a development teacher for community youth; she was steadfast |

| 20 | 21 | | in her faith and an active member of her church; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, A woman whose smile and laughter brightened the days |

| 22 | 23 | | of all those around her, Liz Pope radiated love and kindness, and |

| 23 | 24 | | she will forever be a source of inspiration to the many people who |

| 24 | 25 | | held her dear; now, therefore, be it |
