 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Jonny Wade of Jerseyville, Illinois, whose grace and
 courage touched the hearts of countless people, passed away on
 December 24, 2015, at the age of eight; and
 WHEREAS, Born in Lubbock on April 9, 2007, Jonathan Ormsby
 Wade II was the cherished son of Kimberly Denise and Jonathan Ormsby
 Wade; he grew up with the companionship of a twin brother, Jackson,
 and at two years of age, he moved with his family to Mountain View,
 Missouri, where he developed a love of the outdoors; his greatest
 joys were fishing and playing baseball, and he became a loyal fan of
 the St. Louis Cardinals; the family relocated again to Jerseyville,
 Illinois, when he was six, and his witty and outgoing personality
 soon endeared him to many new friends in that community; and
 WHEREAS, Jonny was diagnosed with brain cancer in December
 2014; over the next year, he bravely endured several surgeries and
 many challenging cycles of radiation and chemotherapy, but he never
 lost his determination to continue his fight against the disease;
 moreover, he found strength and comfort in his faith when times were
 most difficult; and
 WHEREAS, Along the way, Jonny won the support and admiration
 of all who learned his story, and he expressed the wish that no
 other child should suffer from cancer; inspired by Jonny's
 compassion, his parents founded the Kids Shouldn't Have Cancer
 Foundation shortly after his passing; and
 WHEREAS, Although the loss of this remarkable young boy has
 brought immeasurable heartache to all those who held him dear, the
 warmth, laughter, and joy that he brought into their lives will
 never fade from their memories; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jonny Wade and extend
 sincere condolences to his family, to his friends, and to all who
 have mourned his passing; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jonny Wade.
