R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of the San Antonio community gathered
together at a fund-raiser on February 26, 2017, to support Brandie
Marie DeSantiago in her battle against cancer; and
WHEREAS, More than 200 individuals came out to express their
solidarity with Ms. DeSantiago at the Benefit for Brandie, which
was organized to help offset the cost of her medical expenses and
featured a lineup of notable Tejano bands and musicians; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her treatment, Ms. DeSantiago has drawn
strength from the love and encouragement of her husband, Frank, and
their three children, Garrett, Colton, and Justin; and
WHEREAS, The outpouring of support Brandie DeSantiago has
received is a testament to the special place she holds in her
community, and her courage, grace, and optimism continue to inspire
all who have the privilege to know her; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Brandie Marie DeSantiago and extend to her
heartfelt best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. DeSantiago as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
