| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The members of First Assembly of God in Vernon |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since its organization in 1916, First Assembly of |

| 9 | 10 | | God has benefited from the dedicated efforts of a number of |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | outstanding clergy, including Pastors Brian and Amy Pounds, who |

| 11 | 12 | | lead the congregation today; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, United by their shared faith and strong traditions, |

| 13 | 14 | | the members of this notable house of worship have established a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | variety of commendable programs that foster fellowship and offer |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | help to those in need; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Countless Vernon residents have looked to First |

| 17 | 18 | | Assembly of God for spiritual guidance over the years, and it is a |

| 18 | 19 | | pleasure to join in honoring the church at this special time in its |

| 19 | 20 | | rich history; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
