H.R. No. 934
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Fred P. Nardini is retiring as county commissioner
for Precinct 2 of San Patricio County on March 31, 2017, and this
occasion provides a fitting opportunity to recognize him for his
many achievements; and
WHEREAS, During his five terms on the commissioners court,
Fred Nardini has worked tirelessly to address the needs of his
fellow citizens; his commitment to his duties has included
attending the V. G. Young Institute of County Government
Commissioners Court Leadership Academy and completing a number of
additional courses through that program; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nardini has also served as chair of the Regional
Review Committee, as vice president of finance for the Texas
Conference of Urban Counties, and as the San Patricio County
representative to the Texas Conference of Urban Counties
Aggregation Project; moreover, he has given of his time and talents
to the San Patricio County Economic Development Board, the De-Go-La
RC & D Board, the Corpus Christi Metropolitan Planning
Organization, the Coastal Bend Council of Governments, and the
County Judges & Commissioners Association of Texas Education
Committee; and
WHEREAS, A successful entrepreneur as well, Mr. Nardini has
co-owned and operated a number of local businesses, including a
meat market, a catering company, a pizza shop, and a U-Haul
dealership; in all his endeavors, he has enjoyed the love and
support of his wife of 54 years, Judy, and he takes immense pride in
their three children and four grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Fred Nardini's commitment to the highest standards
of his office has greatly benefited the citizens of San Patricio
County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent
as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Fred P. Nardini on his retirement
as county commissioner for Precinct 2 of San Patricio County and
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Nardini as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
