H.R. No. 940
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Rosana Vanessa Gomez Pachon was one of five Texas
A&M University--Corpus Christi employees who were named 2016 40
Under 40 honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40; and
WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 recognizes 40 men and women under
the age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the
Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community
endeavors; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of TAMU--CC's MBA program, Ms. Gomez
currently works for the university's Coastal Bend Business
Innovation Center; she previously served as a Port Corpus Christi
business coordinator for Latin America, and she organized the first
Latin American Petroleum and Energy Summit, which was attended by
over 50 international companies; active in the community, she is
involved with the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, and
she serves on the board for the World Affairs Council of South
Texas; and
WHEREAS, Rosana Gomez has set an outstanding example of
professional achievement and civic engagement, and she may take
justifiable pride in her contributions to the Coastal Bend
community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Rosana Vanessa Gomez Pachon on her
selection as a 2016 Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 honoree and extend to
her sincere best wishes for continued success in her important
work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Gomez as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
