R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Toni Cheryl Nerren was one of five Texas A&M
University--Corpus Christi employees who were named 2016 40 Under
40 honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40; and
WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 recognizes 40 men and women under
the age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the
Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community
endeavors; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi,
Ms. Nerren began working at the university in 2007 and presently
serves as assistant director of human resources; in that role, she
is responsible for staff compensation, performance management, and
annual service awards, while also overseeing recruitment,
selection, and onboarding procedures; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Nerren is committed to the development of
emerging leaders at TAMU--CC and is the advisor for the student
chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management; highly
respected by her professional peers, she holds the office of
president for the Coastal Bend Society for Human Resource
Management, and her department was recognized with the Most
Effective Recruitment Strategy accolade at the society's 2016 HR
Excellence Awards; and
WHEREAS, Toni Nerren has set an outstanding example of
professional achievement and civic engagement, and she may take
justifiable pride in her contributions to the Coastal Bend
community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Toni Cheryl Nerren on her selection
as a 2016 Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 honoree and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success in her important work;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Nerren as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
