| 10 | 11 | | accountability rating from TEA are eligible for distinction |

| 11 | 12 | | designations, which the agency awards based on outstanding |

| 12 | 13 | | performance relative to a group of 40 campuses of similar type, |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, With 16 schools sweeping distinction designations, |

| 15 | 16 | | Edinburg CISD garnered the most honors of any district in South |

| 16 | 17 | | Texas; those ECISD campuses so recognized are Austin, Avila, |

| 17 | 18 | | Canterbury, De La Vina, De Escandon, Flores-Zapata, Gorena, Guerra, |

| 18 | 19 | | Jefferson, Lincoln, Magee, Ramirez, San Carlos, Trevino, Truman, |

| 19 | 20 | | and Villarreal Elementary Schools; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy feat is a testament to the hard work |

| 21 | 22 | | and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the administrators, |

| 22 | 23 | | faculty, staff, and students of Edinburg CISD, and they all may |

| 23 | 24 | | indeed take great pride in this achievement; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate the Edinburg Consolidated |

| 26 | 27 | | Independent School District on having 16 elementary schools earn |
