The bill would amend the Utilities Code relating to the deployment of advanced metering and meter information networks in certain non-ERCOT areas. Based on analysis of the Public Utility Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
