55 AN ACT
66 Relating to making supplemental appropriations and giving
77 direction and adjustment authority regarding appropriations.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION REDUCTION: PUBLIC FINANCE
1010 AUTHORITY. The unencumbered appropriations from the general
1111 revenue fund to the Public Finance Authority made by Chapter 1281
1212 (H.B. 1), Acts of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015 (the
1313 General Appropriations Act), for use during the state fiscal
1414 biennium ending August 31, 2017, for bond debt service payments,
1515 including appropriations subject to Rider 2, page I-47, Chapter
1616 1281 (H.B. 1), Acts of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015
1717 (the General Appropriations Act) to the bill pattern of the
1818 appropriations to the authority, are reduced by a total aggregate
1919 of $39,856,983. The Public Finance Authority shall identify the
2020 strategies and objectives to which the reduction is to be allocated
2121 and the amount of the reduction for each of those strategies and
2222 objectives.
2323 SECTION 2. DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND PROTECTIVE SERVICES:
2424 ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS. In addition to amounts previously
2525 appropriated for the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2017,
2626 the following amounts are appropriated from the general revenue
2727 fund to the Department of Family and Protective Services for the
2828 state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017, for the following
2929 purposes as listed in Chapter 1281 (H.B. 1), Acts of the 84th
3030 Legislature, Regular Session, 2015 (the General Appropriations
3131 Act):
3232 (1) $12,740,200 for Strategy B.1.3., TWC Contracted
3333 Day Care;
3434 (2) $31,993,283 for Strategy B.1.9., Foster Care
3535 Payments; and
3636 (3) $1,576,783 for Strategy B.1.10., Adoption/PCA
3737 Payments.
3838 SECTION 3. DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND PROTECTIVE SERVICES:
3939 CERTAIN TRANSFERS. Notwithstanding the limitations of Rider 32,
4040 page II-43, Chapter 1281 (H.B. 1), Acts of the 84th Legislature,
4141 Regular Session, 2015 (the General Appropriations Act), to the bill
4242 pattern of the appropriations to the Department of Family and
4343 Protective Services, the department shall transfer $435,475 from
4444 Strategy B.1.11., Relative Caregiver Payments, to Strategy B.1.9.,
4545 Foster Care Payments, as listed in Chapter 1281 (H.B. 1), Acts of
4646 the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015 (the General
4747 Appropriations Act).
4848 SECTION 4. TEXAS A&M FOREST SERVICE: APPROPRIATION FOR
4949 GENERAL COST CAUSE BY VARIOUS EMERGENCY WEATHER-RELATED RESPONSES.
5050 In addition to amounts previously appropriated for the state fiscal
5151 biennium ending August 31, 2017, $5,100,000 is appropriated from
5252 the general revenue fund to the Texas A&M Forest Service for the
5353 state fiscal year ending August 31, 2017, for the purpose of paying
5454 for, or reimbursing payments made for, costs incurred by the forest
5555 service associated with responding to various weather-related
5656 emergencies.
5757 SECTION 5. ANIMAL HEALTH COMMISSON: CATTLE FEVER TICKS. In
5858 addition to amounts previously appropriated for the state fiscal
5959 biennium ending August 31, 2017, the Animal Health Commission is
6060 appropriated $649,987 out of the general revenue fund for the
6161 preparedness, response and mitigation for cattle fever ticks under
6262 Strategy A.1.1., Field Operations as listed in Chapter 1281 (H.B.
6363 1), Acts of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015 (the
6464 General Appropriations Act).
