| 13 | 13 | categories: | |
| 14 | 14 | (A) Alaska native or American Indian; | |
| 15 | 15 | (B) [of a particular descent, including | |
| 16 | 16 | Caucasian, African, Hispanic,] Asian or Pacific Islander; | |
| 17 | 17 | (C) black; | |
| 18 | 18 | (D) white; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (E) Hispanic or Latino [, Native American, or | |
| 20 | 20 | Middle Eastern descent]. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. Section 543.202(a), Transportation Code, is | |
| 22 | 22 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 23 | 23 | (a) In this section, "race or ethnicity" means the following | |
