| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Article 49.10(h), Code of Criminal Procedure, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (h) The commissioners court shall pay a reasonable fee for | |
| 13 | 13 | the transportation of a body to and from a place where an autopsy | |
| 14 | 14 | can be performed under this article if a justice of the peace orders | |
| 15 | 15 | the body to be transported for the purpose of an autopsy [to the | |
| 16 | 16 | place]. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
