14 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
15 | 10 | SECTION 1. The heading to Section 37.020, Education Code, | |
16 | 11 | is amended to read as follows: | |
17 | 12 | Sec. 37.020. REPORTS RELATING TO SUSPENSIONS, EXPULSIONS, | |
18 | 13 | AND DISCIPLINARY ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM PLACEMENTS. | |
19 | 14 | SECTION 2. Section 37.020, Education Code, is amended by | |
20 | 15 | adding Subsections (d) and (e) to read as follows: | |
21 | 16 | (d) For each suspension under Section 37.005, the district | |
22 | 17 | shall report: | |
23 | 18 | (1) information identifying the student, including | |
24 | - | the student's race, sex, and date of birth and whether the student | |
25 | - | is in a special education program under Subchapter A, Chapter 29, or | |
26 | - | covered by Section 504, Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. | |
27 | - | Section 794), that will enable the agency to compare placement data | |
28 | - | with information collected through other reports; | |
