A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to county prohibition of the possession of glass
containers within the boundaries of a state-owned riverbed;
creating an offense.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 365.035, Health and Safety Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:
(b-1) A county other than a county described by Subsection
(b) by order may prohibit the possession of a glass container within
the boundaries of a state-owned riverbed in the county. A person
who violates an order adopted under this subsection commits an
offense.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
