66 Relating to information provided by a voter to an election officer.
77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Chapter 1, Election Code, is amended by adding
99 Section 1.021 to read as follows:
1010 SECTION 1.021 INFORMATION PROVIDED BY VOTER. (a)Any form
1111 completed by a voter and provided to an election officer shall
1212 include the voter's name, address, date of birth, voter unique
1313 identifier (VUID), if available, and the number from either a
1414 driver's license, election identification certificate, or personal
1515 identification card issued to the person by the Department of
1616 Public Safety or last four digits of their social security number.
1717 (b) A person desiring to register to vote who does not
1818 possess the information required by Section 13.002(c) (8)(A) or (B)
1919 may provide a statement under Section 13.002(c)(8)(C).
2020 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2018.
