77 relating to a pilot program to reduce the cost of hunting and
88 fishing licenses for nonresidents.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. PILOT PROGRAM. The Parks and Wildlife
1111 Department shall establish a pilot program in which the department
1212 charges a nonresident the same fee as a resident of this state for a
1313 hunting or fishing license issued under Chapter 42 or 46, Parks and
1414 Wildlife Code. The department shall evaluate the effects of the
1515 pilot program on out-of-state tourism related to hunting and
1616 fishing.
1717 SECTION 2. REPORT. The Parks and Wildlife Department shall
1818 prepare a report describing the results of the pilot program. The
1919 department shall submit the report to the legislature not later
2020 than January 1, 2019.
2121 SECTION 3. EXPIRATION. This Act expires June 1, 2019.
2222 SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect September
2323 1, 2017.
