| 8 | 14 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 15 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 88, Education Code, is | |
| 10 | 16 | amended by adding Section 88.1085 to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 17 | Sec. 88.1085. USE OF LAND IN WILLIAM GOODRICH JONES STATE | |
| 12 | 18 | FOREST. (a) For the purpose of this section, the "Jones State | |
| 13 | 19 | Forest" means the real property owned by the state for the use and | |
| 14 | 20 | benefit of The Texas A&M University System to demonstrate | |
| 15 | 21 | reforestation work under the Texas A&M Forest Service, consisting | |
| 16 | - | of approximately 1, | |
| 22 | + | of approximately 1,733 acres in Montgomery County, and formally | |
| 17 | 23 | dedicated and named the William Goodrich Jones State Forest. | |
| 18 | 24 | (b) The entire territory of the Jones State Forest must | |

| 20 | - | maintains the tree canopy cover of the forest. No statute, rule, | |
