A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to voting eligibility requirements for members of a
metropolitan planning organization policy board.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 472, Transportation Code,
is amended by adding Section 472.037 to read as follows:
Sec. 472.037. POLICY BOARD MEMBER VOTING ELIGIBILITY. To
be eligible to be a voting member of a metropolitan planning
organization policy board, a member must be an elected official.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
