10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 162.005(f), Family Code, is amended to | |
12 | 12 | read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | (f) The department, licensed child-placing agency, [parent, | |
14 | 14 | guardian,] person, or entity who prepares and files the original | |
15 | 15 | report and the parent or guardian, regardless of whether the parent | |
16 | 16 | or guardian prepares and files the original report, are [is] | |
17 | 17 | required to furnish supplemental medical, psychological, and | |
18 | 18 | psychiatric information to the adoptive parents if that information | |
19 | 19 | becomes available and to file the supplemental information where | |
20 | 20 | the original report is filed. The supplemental information shall | |
21 | 21 | be retained for as long as the original report is required to be | |
22 | 22 | retained. | |
23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
