55 AN ACT
66 relating to the distribution of the consolidated court cost.
77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Section 133.102(e), Local Government Code is
99 amended to read as follows:
1010 (e) The comptroller shall allocate the court costs received
1111 under this section to the following accounts and funds so that each
1212 receives to the extent practicable, utilizing historical data as
1313 applicable, the same amount of money the account or fund would have
1414 received if the court costs for the accounts and funds had been
1515 collected and reported separately, except that the account or fund
1616 may not receive less than the following percentages:
1717 (1) [abused children's counseling] [0.0088] percent;
1818 (1[2]) crime stoppers assistance 0.2581 percent;
1919 (2[3]) breath alcohol testing 0.5507 percent;
2020 (3[4]) Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management
2121 Institute 2.1683 percent;
2222 (4[5]) law enforcement officers standards and education
2323 [(6) comprehensive rehabilitation 9.8218 percent;]
2424 (5[7]) law enforcement and custodial officer
2525 supplemental retirement fund 11.1426 percent;
2626 (6[8]) criminal justice planning 12.5537 percent;
2727 (7[9]) an account in the state treasury to be used only
2828 for the establishment and operation of the Center for the Study and
2929 Prevention of Juvenile Crime and Delinquency at Prairie View A&M
3030 University 1.2090 percent;
3131 (8[10]) compensation to victims of crime fund
3232 37.6338 percent;
3333 (9[11]) emergency radio infrastructure account

4141 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
4242 a vote of two-third of all the members elected to each house, as
4343 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
4444 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
4545 Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
