| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Blinn College is hereby directed to transfer |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | control and custody of the Washington-on-the-Brazos Museum |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Building and its contents, known as the "Star of the Republic |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Museum," situated in the area acquired by the State of Texas under |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the provisions of Chapter 3 (H.B. 11), General Laws, Acts of the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 34th Legislature, 1st Called Session, 1915, and known as |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park, to the Parks and Wildlife |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Department. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | SECTION 2. It is the intent of the legislature that every |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | provision, section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or word |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | in this Act, and every application of the provisions in this Act to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | each person or entity, are severable from each other. If any |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | application of any provision in this Act to any person, group of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | persons, or circumstances is found by a court to be invalid for any |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | reason, the remaining applications of that provision to all other |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | persons and circumstances shall be severed and may not be affected. |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | SECTION 3. The transfer required by Section 1 of this Act |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | shall take place not later than December 1, 2017. |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
