The bill would amend the Education Code to remove the expiration dates associated with the use of individual graduation committees (IGC) and the reporting requirements for students graduating based on IGC review process. The bill would take effect immediately if passed with necessary voting margins, or September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact School districts and open-enrollment charter schools may incur nominal costs associated with the continued use of individual graduation committees.
