                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 10, 2017      TO: Honorable Larry Taylor, Chair, Senate Committee on Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB463 by Seliger (Relating to the use of individual graduation committees to satisfy certain public high school graduation requirements.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Education Code to remove the expiration dates associated with the use of individual graduation committees (IGC) and the reporting requirements for students graduating based on IGC review process. The bill would take effect immediately if passed with necessary voting margins, or September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact School districts and open-enrollment charter schools may incur nominal costs associated with the continued use of individual graduation committees.
