| 15 | 15 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Section 775.038, Health and Safety Code, is |

| 17 | 17 | | amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |

| 18 | 18 | | (a-1) A commissioner of a district is entitled to receive |

| 19 | 19 | | compensation in the same manner and amount as are provided by |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Section 49.060, Water Code. |

| 21 | 21 | | SECTION 2. Sections 775.038(a), (b), and (c), Health and |

| 22 | 22 | | Safety Code, are repealed. |
