| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 12 | 12 | is amended by adding Section 225.123 to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | Sec. 225.123. SENATOR CHRIS HARRIS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) | |
| 14 | 14 | The portion of State Highway 360 between its intersection with U.S. | |
| 15 | 15 | Highway 287 in Ellis County and its intersection with East Sublett | |
| 16 | 16 | Road/West Camp Wisdom Road in Tarrant County is designated as the | |
| 17 | 17 | Senator Chris Harris Memorial Highway. | |
| 18 | 18 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | |
| 19 | 19 | (1) design and construct markers indicating the | |
| 20 | 20 | designation as the Senator Chris Harris Memorial Highway and any | |
| 21 | 21 | other appropriate information; and | |
| 22 | 22 | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at | |
| 23 | 23 | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 25 | 25 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 26 | 26 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 27 | 27 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 28 | 28 | Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
