                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 27, 2017      TO: Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB637 by Huffines (Relating to audits of a regional mobility authority by the state auditor.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code prohibiting Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) from making a grant or loan to a regional mobility authority unless the authority agrees in writing to allow state audits of the authority at any time. According to TxDOT and the State Auditor no significant fiscal impact is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
