108 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
119 SECTION 1. Section 436.105, Government Code, is amended by
1210 adding Subsection (c-1) and amending Subsection (d) to read as
1311 follows:
1412 (c-1) Any information written, produced, collected,
1513 assembled, or maintained by or for the task force is confidential
1614 and exempt from disclosure under Chapter 552 only during the task
1715 force's existence.
1816 (d) The task force is abolished and this section expires
1917 September 1, 2021 [2019].
2018 SECTION 2. Subchapter C, Chapter 436, Government Code, is
2119 amended by adding Section 436.1051 to read as follows:
2220 Sec. 436.1051. MILITARY BASE REALIGNMENT AND CLOSURE TASK
2321 FORCE; PRESERVATION OF INFORMATION. (a) On the abolishment of the
2422 military base realignment and closure task force, the task force
2523 shall transfer all information written, produced, collected,
2624 assembled, or maintained by or for the task force to the commission
2725 and the commission shall maintain the information.
2826 (b) Any information transferred to the commission under
2927 Subsection (a) is public information subject to disclosure under
3028 Chapter 552.
3129 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
