| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 551, Government Code, is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | amended by adding Section 551.1283 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Sec. 551.1283. GOVERNING BOARD OF REGIONAL MOBILITY |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | AUTHORITY: INTERNET POSTING OF MEETING MATERIALS AND BROADCAST OF |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | OPEN MEETING. (a) For a meeting of the board of a regional mobility |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | authority, the authority shall: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (1) post as early as practicable in advance of the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | meeting on the authority's Internet website any written agenda and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | related supplemental written materials provided by the authority to |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the directors for the directors' use during the meeting; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (2) broadcast the meeting over the Internet in the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | manner prescribed by Section 551.128; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (3) record the broadcast and make that recording |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | publicly available in an online archive located on the authority's |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Internet website not later than the 2nd day after the date the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | meeting is held. |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (b) The requirements of this section and this chapter apply |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | to a meeting of a subcommittee of a regional mobility authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | board, regardless of whether a quorum of the directors is present at |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | the meeting. |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | to a meeting of the board of directors of a regional mobility |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | authority or a subcommittee of that board for which notice is given |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | under Chapter 551, Government Code, on or after September 1, 2017. |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
